HOWTO Install AVG anti-virus for Ubuntu
AVG is a free edition antivirus solution with GUI for Linux
Does Ubuntu (or any linux box) need to use an anti-virus?
YES -> 'cause I use too many USB flash drives. So I receive viruses but I dont want to infect another PCs (Windows)
1.- Download Deb Package
Web: http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afl
Package: avg75fld-r51-a1243.i386.deb
2.- Install by using Packet Installer (.deb)
3.- Execute AVG
root@server:/usr/local# avggui
wmunguiam@server:/$ sudo avggui
4.- Update antivirus
Go to "Program" -> Settings -> Update: Add your Name and Company
Then It will Possible to Update
5.- Scan for virus
